This second episode of Crosslines is a compilation of calls made to telephones, all over the world, that were answered by calls mysteriously pre-recorded. Some appear to be trivial conversations, others telephone services or even spam calls.
Crosslines is a series of 3 sound works created from calls made to public telephones all over the world.
Multiple calls made to recipients hitherto unknown or even non-existent.
The phones were found using maps with panoramic views of public spaces. The number of each phone was retrieved by crossing its coordinates identified on the route with information collected in the database of phone directories (yellow pages) of each country.
