Description

The three days of laptopradiø moved the volcanic island longings to more distant and uncertain climes: 'Vulcan' was a hypothetical planet between the Sun and Mercury that no one knew for sure whether it had been sighted or whether sunspots had fooled the astronomers. In any case, it was clear that Mercury was orbiting the Sun on such a strangely curved path that could only be explained by the gravitation of another planet. With Einstein's theory of relativity, the situation was finally clarified and Vulcan disappeared into the curved space-time continuum.

The three radio programs from Thursday to Saturday are all three strangely interconnected.

However, each part of a day's program forms a self-contained broadcast, which is performed by present participants of the laptopradiø core group on the one hand and, at a distance (from Vulcan!) by good friends, invited artists, wayward guests and other LapTopradio members on the other hand.

With daring (now and then maybe also failed) sound experiments from far away, weird stories and bizarre music done by the participants for these broadcasts.

Each daily program has its own peculiarity, sometimes the narrative part prevails, other times the musical one or then the sound experiments; these parts follow the thematic framework of each day and are either produced live in Basel or at a distance or partly pre-recorded as well.
