The audio track includes five recordings of the poem Il corpo standard/The standard body, written by Eleonora Luccarini and performed by singer Valentina Chirico in different styles of operatic singing.
These five recordings belong to the preliminary research material that will constitute part of the soundtrack of Eleonora Luccarini’s next film work THE CONTEST, currently in production.
The film deepens Luccarini’s relationship with her alter ego Milkdromeda and acts as a metaphor for the inner conflict between hope and nihilism as perspectives on the future, questioning the role of poetic language and storytelling in the process of individual accountability and female self-awareness practices.
