RADIO KILLED THE INTERNET STAR
In his long-durational performance „Radio killed the internet star“ Wassili explores the medium radio and various elements of it. A compilation of songs about the radio, interviews with various radio station hosts, features by national and international artists and poetic elements from the artist will be part of the work. „Radio killed the internet star“ will sound more or less like a radio show, while the medium is investigated in an experimental and playful way. As part of the „Sonaterium“ radio exhibition Wassili Widmer turns the station into a platform of gathering.
The performance will be mainly in German (excluded interviews with English-speaking persons).
In seiner long durational Performance "Radio killed the internet star" setzt sich Wassili mit dem Medium Radio und verschiedenen Elementen davon auseinander. Eine Zusammenstellung von Liedern über das Radio, Interviews mit verschiedenen Radiomoderatoren, Features von nationalen und internationalen Künstler*innen und poetische Elemente des Künstlers selbst werden Teil der Arbeit sein. "Radio killed the internet star" wird mehr oder weniger wie eine Radiosendung klingen, während das Medium auf experimentelle und spielerische Weise untersucht wird. Im Rahmen der Radioausstellung "Sonaterium" macht Wassili den Sender Lumpenstation zu einer Plattform der Zusammenkunft.
Die Aufführung wird hauptsächlich auf Deutsch sein (bis auf Interviews mit englischsprachigen Personen).
