"Why do authors have to do this when their books have sold millions of copies around the world? Well, the answer is simple it's because of how you get paid in publishing. With book publishing, you generally don't get a lot of money in the same goal, irrespective of how well or how badly your book is selling. What happens is there is a cycle that is agreed upon when you sign your author's agreement."
