"Given time, I will emerge from the cocoon to fly high in the sky. So yet this poem was written on March 30 with a bit of an assist from the holistic psychologist Dr. Nicole Apparel. I came across a post of hers that afternoon where she mentioned the cocoon phase, and that was just it. I kept coming back to that post all Sunday afternoon, and I decided, okay, this sounds like something that I could potentially turn into a poem."
