"It certainly tells us that strength, agency and decision making belong to men, while vulnerability and dependence are a woman's default setting. And that's problematic to say the least. Sure, storytelling is full of fantasy and drama, but these tropes spill into real life more than we realize. They shape how society sees women and even how women see themselves."
