"I guess my first question has to do with when you approach a topic like this, having been a reporter, having done investigations before, but you're approaching it with a really heavy literary hat, because you want to tell this story in a way that honors the humanity and also honors the opportunity for us to drop in to the storytelling itself, because then we get more invested in it. And that's when impact is made and lives change and ideas change."
