"Off the top of my head it is Ellsworth Vines who was a former great all time player hall of Famer from the 1930s, was actually a very accomplished player, finished in the top 10 at the Masters, but he played in the US Open golf and also in the US Nationals. It was not the US Open until 1968. He played in both."
