What we're talking about:

Should you drop a VCE subject?

It's a question I've been hearing a lot from VCE students, particularly as they get further into the year and start to realise that a particular subject isn't going the way they hoped.

But before you decide to drop a VCE subject, there are a few important things to consider.

In this episode, we look at:

• Whether you know what you want to do after Year 12
• Whether the subject is a prerequisite for a course you're considering
• Whether extra support could help you feel more confident in the subject
• Whether there are alternative courses that don't require the subject
• Whether disliking the subject could be a clue that your intended course or career isn't actually the right fit
• How to step back and look at the bigger picture before making your decision

Dropping a VCE subject isn't automatically a bad decision — but it's important to understand how the decision could affect your future options before you make it.

Listen in to help you work out what might be the best decision for you and your future.
