‘All those scientists’ can be wrong — and often have been! The reason hoaxes
dominated textbooks for many decades as the chief evidence for man’s evolution
is not because of a mistake, a small aberration somewhere along the line of a
self-correcting march towards truth, but because of the strong influences of
presupposition and prejudice.
