Classics You Slept Through: Episode 102 - Wieland (Chapters 1 - 5)
It's always a thrill to dive into a new book, especially one which neither of us have read, or know anything about. Coming into a book fresh, with no preconceived notions makes reading it a journey of discovery.
This is the situation we're in with Wieland, or The Transformation: An American Tale, by Charles Brockton Brown. It takes place just before the Revolutionary war, around Philadelphia, making it a "local interest" story for us.
