On March 6, 2015, 18-month-old Lily Groesbeck was trapped in their crushed car and hung upside down, alone for 14 hours. Tyler Beddoes and his fellow Spanish Fork police officers were investigating the wreckage of Jennifer Lynn Groesbeck’s car as it lay upside down in the Spanish Fork River. After rolling the wreck onto its side the officers heard a frantic cry coming from within the wreckage to save Lily. Lily’s guardian angel mother, had comforted her child through the night and knew she had to be rescued immediately after being submerged in the frigid river water.
