In this questionably special mini-episode, disgraced/graced film critic Daniel Barnes reviews two new releases opening today, Oct. 24.

Blue Moon is a mostly one-set look at a particularly fraught night in the late life of songwriter Lorenz Hart (Ethan Hawke). Meanwhile, the Palme d’Or winner It Was Just an Accident looks at the incompatibility of revenge and moral certainty in modern-day Iran.

Listen along as Daniel talks to himself about singular sensations, Dorf-like trickery, and the scarcity of bears in the filmography of Jafar Panahi.
