dattrax: Hello Fellow House Heads and New House Lovers, it's been a long many months since we last posted a mix but we've been still buying house tracks regularly.
Jim and I have bought 4 batches of 20-35 tracks from Beatport & Traxsource in last 3 months. Yes, still crack addicts, but to house music!
Downloaded this picture from facebook (not sure if pic from a Steve Lawler party in Toronto or not?), so if you own it (& we can verify that), and want this off our site, then let us know and we'll remove it.
But what I love about this pic is that this is why we started loving house music at 16yrs old!! Look closely and feel what these party goers are feeling. Big fat smiles, hands in the air and boots stomping on that dancefloor! What a great pic- HOUSE IS A FEELING!
These 40 or so tracks are my fav from these last 4batches. There are 3 or so Classic House tracks that we bought that are going to make any of you 35-45yrs old FLIP OUT!! We've been buying reissue classics that we own on scratchy vinyl records but are now digitized. Sometimes we lose and they just slap onto the mp3 stores and sounds like a vinyl recording but most of the time it sounds CRISP and PUNCHY! ReMastered. I don't miss the vinyl days. Only DJing on vinyl for that tactile precision ; )
For those of you who are in the know, you are going to lose your minds when you listen to this mix!! CRANK IT LOUD!! (You Deserve It!)
For those of you who are new to house music... and I don't mean that EDM top 40 dance garbage. I mean HOUSE MUSIC. Soulful, funky, jackin', vocally, jazz infused, techy, bouncin', classic, timeless, foot stompin' goodness.
If you are new and you don't freak out. There is zero hope. Yes, hope left the window and is out of your zip code baby!
Have a blast either way! This mix was made with months of life stresses & incredible love of these tracks pushed into this mix. Creating something good out of mixed torrent of emotions! Feel it.

We listen to about 2000+ tracks to buy 30 or so. Those are usually the averages. Then we put into mixes about 70% or so of what we actually buy. Super picky when it comes to our house music.
And for all you house producers who are peeved that we didn't list your tracks. HEY WAKE UP! WE ARE YOUR REAL SUPPORTERS over these 22+ years- JIM AND I BOUGHT ALL YOUR STUFF!!!!!!!!!!!!
