In Chapter thirteen of The Chronicles of Belteshazzar, God has revealed Nebuchadnezzar’s dream to him. It is the early hours of the morning, and Daniel decides to go for a walk. As he leaves his room, he does not notice that there are no soldiers guarding his quarters. Quickly, he realizes that attackers have infiltrated the courtyard outside his room. It is then that Daniel realizes there were no guards, and that his life is in danger. He decides to make a run for it when he is stopped by three menacing soldiers. Daniel has been betrayed! I conclude the episode by talking about an experience where I was betrayed in the workplace and conclude with a Question for Reflection about how we deal with all too common experience in human life.
