In Chapter sixteenth chapter of The Chronicles of Belteshazzar, Timnah wants to find Daniel and warn him of a plan Haman has to kill him. She convinces Daniel to leave Babylon and go into the Zargos Mountains to pray for King Nebuchadnezzar for ten days. In this way, he will not be present when Haman announces his plan to have everyone – even the Hebrews – bow down and worship an idol in tribute to King Nebuchadnezzar. Using the movie, The Silver Chalice, I talk about how historical Christian fiction can help young people not only learn about God’s word, but become interested in learning more.
