Darkness surrounds me and is in me at the same time. An indescribable nothingness that spreads rapidly and takes over more and more of me. Nothing is to be seen, nothing is to be heard, nothing is to be felt, until I suddenly hit somewhere. My body aches and my eyes slowly get used to the surroundings. I can make out shadowy outlines. Shadows circle me and laugh loudly. They become figures without faces and continue to change their shape until they simply merge with the black background. Slowly something like an environment emerges. I seem to be in some kind of box and huge creatures look down on me, which have put on a wide and at the same time ominous grin. A loud humming sound is coming from them. It is deafening and pushes my auditory canal painfully to its limits. It takes me what feels like an eternity to get used to it. But then I notice that the hum is not monotonous. It is always changing and seems alive. As I direct my full concentration to it, I imagine I can hear individual words. "Do you think he noticed something? We can't afford to have confidants. Just when we're about to make the big breakthrough, we have to be extra careful. He should be removed from the system."
