Dr. Brandy Lipscomb was a combat medic with the Washington National Guard. She was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004-2005. During her time in Iraq, Dr. Lipscomb was stationed at one of the largest burn pits in the country. She came home thinking that life would return to normal, but it never did. Dr. Lipscomb struggled with PTSD, premature ovarian failure at age 39, and osteopenia by age 41 that was progressively getting worse.
