"The only thing nobody can take away from you is your education.  And the only person who may not disappoint you for the rest of your life is yourself."  Joumana Kayrouz
In this episode Denise talks to attorney Joumana Kayrouz, a native of Lebanon, she humbly refers to herself as a 'little girl from the Middle East' who came to the United States with $1,000 in her pocket at age 22, already a mother.  With hard work, she graduated college, completed a Master of Medical Ethics at Yale University, and a JD from Wayne State, which she uses to run her law firm and swim in the male dominated waters of personal injury law.  A devoted mother, grandmother, and dog mom, Joumana's Christian faith has kept her grounded while reaching for the stars.

Find out from Joumana:

  • What being sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Roberts means to her
  • How and when she mastered English as her third (of 4) language
