When this world's temptations seem hard to overcome, God's word invites us to rise above the flesh. Holiness is not a suggestion for those who are in Christ. And the battle of the flesh is not excused just because it is the "norm". The standards have been raised in the new covenant. Adultery happens in our hearts and with our eyes. But God Who called us and imputed His righteousness to us is able to finish the work He began in us.
