Mishaela Houle is the Executive Director of Cardiac Sciences, for the Edmonton Zone of Alberta Health Services, at the University of Alberta. She is also responsible for the operational leadership for Cardiac Sciences programs and services at the CK Hui Heart Centre, Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute and Northern Alberta Cardiac Rehabilitation Program.
Mishaela became a registered nurse in 2002 and followed her passion into cardiology as a Project Manager in 2007. She spent a year as the Patient Care Manager and at the very young age of 33 became the Executive Director of Cardiac Sciences. To say she is in a challenging, high pressure role is an understatement and to add a pandemic in the mix creates further complexities to an already demanding role.
Listen along as we go through her career path and how her roots have influenced her passion for this career. We also want to thank her for her dedication and hard work during a difficult couple of years in health care.
