Description

Brokenness. It’s a word we all try to avoid. No one wants to be known as “broken.” Yet, adoption exists because of brokenness.

Often, the focus lands on the adopted child’s brokenness. Her background is rough. He experienced instability. She had no one to love her. He’s lived in four foster homes. Because these children need help, we rightly place our full attention on helping them with the loss, pain, and trauma of their past.

However, there is still another person whose brokenness must be healed.

Yours.

As an adoptive parent, are you willing to admit that you’re broken? If so, then your adoption can truly become beautiful.
