And why is that important in today's topic on intentionality? Because our businesses are huge mirror to what's going on with us internally. And when you set intentions based on what's important and authentic to you, you, your business, and everything else thrive!
"The best thing with intentionality is you get to decide. You get to decide what your intention is."
It's not just getting the task done. It's making sure that those tasks are connected to your vision and mission. So knowing yourself and owning your identity are crucial in setting intentions.
And setting intention is making a shift not just in your plans, but also in how you operate your mind and emotions. So when you sit down and do your (intentional) task, ask yourself, "who do I need to be in this moment?"
Being intentional all throughout doesn't mean we have to 'hustle' all the time. It's quite the opposite. Being intentional is doing tasks that are meaningful and impactful (to us, our business, family, & community) so we could also prioritize rest, leisure, and other 'non-productive' stuff that are important to us, too.
And part of the intention is not to be happy all the time. Because… it's life. (We are authentic here!)
But instead of telling yourself that everything in your life is going wrong, tell yourself that there are still things that need to be processed. You cannot deny either that there is something wrong because your body's going to revolt.
So acknowledge your feelings, then release.
In direct sales, always ask your why. Why are you messaging those 20 people? Why are you selling these products? Why are you meeting with this person? and more. If you can't provide any meaningful reason aside from it's a requirement, then it's a wasted time and energy.
People feel when you just interact with them transactionally. So come into the conversation with a transformational mindset.
In that way, you build better relationships, and better business!
