We kick things off this week with one of the all-time classics, The Payback by JB. This song was originally written by Fred Wesley to be on the soundtrack to a film, Hell Up in Harlem, but when the director decided to go into another direction, The Boss decided the record was too good to not put out on its own. History has certainly deemed he made the right choice. We also work in some Stevie Wonder featuring a song with which I'm absolutely obsessed right now, as well as some Mayer Hawthorne, Los Cafres, and a cut from a tight afrobeat band out of Sydney, Australia, The Liberators (Brought to you by The Afrobeat Blog and Afro-Marc Productions).
