Ethan Keller is a singer, songwriter, and son-of-a-preacher-man. Playing a wide spectrum for over a decade, Keller uses folk, rock, & jazz guitar styles, while his soulful, youthful voice and poetic lyrics naturally dive to spiritual depths. Keller may employ Milwaukee’s living musicals legends for a combo, or a loop machine for a solo gig, but every show is original and fresh.
Ethan Keller’s full-length 2006 debut, “Face Light”, garnered critical praise, and 2008’s "One Way" EP, is being added to college and internet radio across the country. Having has sold over 10,000 records, and played in 35 states, Ethan relentlessly perseveres; always performing recording, and creating what a listener recently called, “music with a purpose.”

3.)Gem Avery- Colors(Alabama,AL)

About
Granted a voice that provides soul sustaining sustenance, world wide musical hunger is Gem Avery’s to satisfy.Using her own recipe, this saucy Alabama raised artist slowly simmered the seemingly unrelated elements of Blues, Country, Soul, Jazz and Gospel and came to serve her signature sound on an inviting plate called Ambient Soul. When asked how she arrived at the term that so accurately describes her distinctive art form, she explained with a positive smile accompanied by a tone warmly saturated with assurance. “I love all music but the two genres I love to mix are packed with feeling. I love ambient music because it will embrace senses you didn’t even know you had and I love soul music because it seeps into the cracks of your inner being and stays there” she stated and continued to speak with an unconscious passion for her art, “Ambient and Soul together is entrancing – life altering even. I want to gently embrace and realign my listeners with the feeling of music...and so Ambient Soul came to define the Gem Avery brand of Neosoul”.

The spread of the Gem Avery brand of Neosoul is quite evident. The sound offered in her debut album, GAS MONEY, is continuously devoured by listeners around the globe. Boasting thirteen (13) spirit elevating songs, Gem Avery’s GAS MONEY is an integral part of the menu at mood lounges, soul kitchens and neosoul café type venues everywhere. GAS MONEY is a literal buffet of flawless music production and soul enchanting explorative lyrics. The rich flavor starts at song one with “Heard” which speaks to an artist acceptance of infinite anonymity and moves to the pessimistic-and-matter-of -fact title cut “Gas Money” the hopeless mantra of self-defeat “Fly Away” to the self-enlightened “Focus” to the renewed outlook voiced so eloquently in “Righteous” near the album’s end. Gem Avery’s invaluable contribution to the famine world of music speaks to human beings’ universal and continuous transition between self doubt and self realization. A classic debut, Gem Avery’s work has no place other than among timeless rare grooves.

Gliding effortlessly from contralto to altissimo, Gem Avery’s 5 octaves is nourishment for enlightened music aficionados worldwide. Heavily influenced by Sade, Minnie Riperton, Nancy Wilson, Dinah Washington, and Betty Wright Gem's artistic eminence evolved to share common ingredients with several legendary female trail blazers. Her sound burns with the vocal intensity of Anita Baker, it speaks with the vocal dexterity of Chaka Khan, yet it brags with the sassy sincerity of Erykah Badu. For listeners who crave a delicate taste that will more than soothe picky palates, Gem Avery’s perfectly seasoned art is sweet enough for dessert yet savory enough for the main course. The sound – the feel, rather – of her voice is powerful yet subtle, gritty yet smooth, soothing yet electrifying, original yet nostalgically familiar...

The table is set for you at www.GemAvery.com and a satisfying Ambient Soul feast has been prepared, Ladies and Gentlemen. Partake, indulge in, and enjoy your prized musical treasure, Gem Avery.

The song, which is both lyrical and autobiographical, is a call to action to men who abandon their children. devastating after effects of children living without fathers in their lives. In April 2005 the song caught the attention of the National Fatherhood Initiative in Washington DC . Cincere was invited to headline the organizations gala awards at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel, where he performed “Daddy” for hundreds of guests, including First Lady Laura Bush and celebrities like country western recording star Buddy Jewel and football great Allen Rossum of the Atlanta Falcons. “We really need more artists like Cincere in the forefront of hip/hop and R & B music,” said Roland C.
