Un extranjero me dijo una vez: “No comprendo los suecos. Viven en casas cómodas y modernas y en cuanto tienen tiempo se apretan en casitas sin comodidades ningunas”. Y es así, nosotros vivimos en una casa adosada muy cómoda y tenemos una casita sin ducha y con retrete afuera. ¿Es porque nos gustan estar cerca de la naturaleza? Creo que somos un país de campesinos sin pueblos. No sé, talvez sea la razón de tanta gente viven tan primitivo. Nuestra casita está cerca de un lago, 200 metros, en una ”urbanisación rural”. Hay 70 casas. Podemos bañarnos los meses junio, julio y agosto, a veces también en mayo y septiembre. Tenemos barco y derecho a pescar con red en el lago. Hay muchos lagos en Suecia. Son restos del hielo que cubría nuestro país durante mucho tiempo. Se puede coger setas, cantarelas, boletos, y champioñes. Los suecos tienen derecho a estar donde quieran en la naturaleza. Podemos coger setas y bayas sin preguntar a nadie. Este derecho se llama Allemansrätt (Derecho para todos) Hay muchos pájaros que cantan y por la noche se puede escuchar la lechuza y mirar las estrellas en un cielo no contaminado de la de la ciudad. Hay muchas casitas donde hay lagos y también en el archipiélago en el este y el oeste con todas las islas y playas. Sí, irse a la casita le gusta al sueco.

Weekend cottage (2)
A foreigner once said to me: ”I don´t understand the Swedes. They live in comfortable houses and as fast as they get time they crowd together in small houses without shower and with outhouse”. Is it because we like to be near the nature? I think we are a people of peasants without villages. I don´t know, maybe that´s the reason why so many live so primitively. Our house is situated near a lake, 200 meters, in a weekend cottage area. There are 70 houses. We have boat and right to fish with net in the lake. There are many lakes in Sweden. They are remains from the ice that covered our country during a long time. One can pick mushrooms, chanterelles, Karl-Johan (after a king with the same name) and field mushrooms. Swedes have the right to be where they want in the nature. We can pick mushrooms without asking somebody. There are many birds that sing and in the night one can listen to the owl and watch the stars on a sky that isn´t spoiled by the town (the light). There are many weekend cottages where there are lakes and in the archipelago too in the east and in west with all islands and beaches. Yes, the Swede likes go to his weekend cottage.

Fritidshus En utlänning sa en gång till mig: “Jag förstår inte svenskarna. De bor i bekväma och moderna hus och så fort de får tid så tränger de ihop sig i små hus (egentligen fritidshus) utan dusch och med utedass. Är det för att vi tycker om att vara nära naturen? Jag tror att vi är ett folk av bönder utan byar. Jag vet inte, kanske är det skälet till att så många (mycket folk) lever så primitivt. Vårt fritidshus ligger nära en sjö, 200 meter, i ett fritidshusområde. Det finns 70 hus. Vi har båt och fiskerättigheter (rätt att fiska) med nät i sjön. Det finns många sjöar i Sverige. De är rester av isen som täckte vårt land under lång tid. Man kan plocka svamp, kantareller, Karl-Johan (los boletos tienen su nombre de un rey al que le gustaba mucho estas setas) och champinjoner. Svenskar har rätt att vara var de vill i naturen. Vi kan plocka svamp och bär utan att fråga någon. Den rätte heter allemansrätt. Det finns många fåglar som sjunger och på natten kan man lyssna på ugglan och titta på stjärnorna på en himmel som inte är förstörd av staden (la luz). Det finns många fritidshus där det finns sjöar och även i skärgården i öst och väst med alla öar och stränder. Ja, åka till stugan (fritidshuset) det gillar svensken.
