Description

“We’ve got an opportunity coming out of this pandemic to build our society in a more just way.” — Sen. Doug Jones

Few people attain a front-row seat to history and politics like former U.S. Senator Doug Jones. Before representing Alabama in Congress, Sen. Jones served as the United States Attorney in the Clinton Administration. He also prosecuted the former Klansmen responsible for bombing Birmingham, Alabama’s 16th Street Baptist Church that killed four girls in 1963.

After leaving office, Sen. Jones started a fellowship at the Georgetown University Institute of Politics and Policy and is a regular contributor for CNN. Sen. Jones is also the author of Bending Toward Justice: The Birmingham Church Bombing that Changed the Course of Civil Rights

In this episode of Leading with Genuine Care, Rob talks with Sen. Jones about our divisive political system, current race relations in the U.S., and how leaders from all sides can come together and find common ground. You’ll also discover:
