This is one of the last Insanity Palace shows done on KTUH, August 13,1977.
The theme is the Wild West and the show contains much of the source material that was used in Fantasy Palace #4 Cowboys and Indians (also 1977). Show follows the standard four hour Palace format. Part One features Harvey Mandel, David Bowie, Family, Savoy Brown, Smothers Brothers, Mel Blanc, The Fugs, and Frank Zappa. Melanie is in fine form. The recording is from the original aircheck cassette, so it is not terribly high fidelity and many or the records used were old even then, so be prepared for some snap crackle and pop, especially on the Yosemite Sam song.
