Did you know that 1 in 4 Australian adults are lonely?

Loneliness is gaining attention globally for its negative impact on social functioning and exacerbating mental health symptoms, such as social anxiety, depression, and paranoia.

We talk loneliness with Dr. Michelle Lim from Swinburne University of Technology, a senior lecturer in clinical psychology, leader of the social health and wellbeing laboratory, and chief scientific advisor for charity 'Ending Loneliness Together'.

The podcast explores the difference between loneliness, solitude, and social isolation and its link to premature mortality as well as the return on investment of loneliness funding. Importantly she discussed the small steps we can all make to build meaningful connections both at work and in our local communities.
