Description

Jason opens by reading a listener's story about walking away from an unreasonable RFP and a client who paid late. He then turns to a leadership habit he sees everywhere: playing savior, where a leader becomes the go-between for two people instead of helping them solve a problem together. He explains why filtering complaints and shielding people from each other weakens a team, and walks through a step-by-step way to coach people toward talking directly. HR, legal, harassment, and discrimination concerns are the exception, and he encourages checking in with your internal HR and legal teams.

What you'll learn in this episode:

Next time someone brings you a concern about a coworker, will you become the go-between, or help them build the relationship to solve it together?
