We are now in the season of Lent which means we are on our annual collective Lenten Journey. This year we are exploring the themes of ‘Every Day Altars’ as we remind ourselves of Gods faithfulness and how the God who has carried us so far will get us to where He wants to take us in the future.
If we want to draw closer to God, we need to understand the place of altars as places where we can seek and meet with God. This means that the encouragement of this series is that we would build altars to God on a regular basis.
This weekend Mark will be bringing a message called the ‘Altar of Covenant’ as he looks at the life of Abraham. He will be reminding us that the Bible is a book about people and places and how it is also a book about how altars are serious and sacred places of interaction and transaction
