Plan for calamity! That is the premise of this program. A wise businessperson will continually take a hard look at all potential risks that are inherent in their business, in their planning and decisions, and among their clientele, and identify the steps to be taken to minimize the impacts of significant problems or setbacks. The term "de-risking" was new to until recently, but it's a powerful concept that we've taught clients for years, just using other terminology. A wise and proactive entrepreneur may even be able to leverage risk to create competitive advantages when challenges occur. Note, for instance, those whose businesses grew and thrived during the pandemic because they pivoted in new or interesting directions.
