If we're not ourselves with people we don't actually have a relationship. And we need to be reminded of who we are. God is the only one who can fill in that context—we get into trouble when we let others tell us who we are. It is possible though to create a track (or a center) to our life, based on truth, that can act like a home base to give us the security to be real in the world.
