We're back, talking more Jaws (Steven Spielberg, 1975)! This time, John and I are joined by the fantastic Laura Carseldine.
After some chat about the film and our fandom, we have a look at the original novel by Peter Benchley, and some of the differences between the source material and the movie adaptation. SPOILERS for the book, by the way! One of them in particular blows my mind. Then we have a discussion of the movie sequels, and their sublime and escalating ridiculousness.
You can listen to part 1 (featuring Simon) here.

John has been watching and talking about television comedy since people repeatedly started singing the theme tune to 1980s sitcom Dear John at him. He has also been on quite a few episodes of the show now - including a fab conversation about two very different 90s sitcom endings. And, of course, And Ninthly (which will be back very soon...)
Laura is an all-round extraordinary person of no fixed abode. She can be contacted by putting some chum in the water.
All original intro, outro and other incidental music recorded and made available by kind permission of Richard Gilbert.
NOTES
The audiobook of Jaws by Peter Benchley can currently be listened to on YouTube here, read by Erik Steele. Recommended if you're unfamiliar with it, I really enjoyed it!
By the way, at roughly the same time we recorded this episode (and its pt 1), friends of the show Kit Power and Jack Graham recorded (with their friend Ellliot Chapman) this excellent chat about Jaws! By complete coincidence! Please do give it a listen, it's great.
