When you think of timeless composers. Burt Bacharach is at the top of the list. And on April 16th, Todd Rundgren will be bringing a bit of Burt to Maryland Hall in a Rams Head Presents show!
We hopped on the phone with Todd this morning to talk about the show. Why Bacharach? What to expect? How he is interpreting the songs (if at all)? And his thoughts on any up and coming composers!
ANd Todd is not coming alone. He has Rob Shirakbari who was Bacharach's collaborator and musical director, Wendy Moten from The Voice, and a cast of musicians that have worked with Bacharach, Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin, and others.
April 16th will be a special night for Annapolis and for those unfaniliar with the depth of Bacharach, your evening will be filled with "OMG, I didn;t realize that was HIS song!"
