Description

Nathan Jones is the CEO of eXP Maven, which helps attractions collect data that helps improve the guest experience. Upon learning that there was no other solution that pulls together data streams to help attractions operators make decisions in the moment, he set out to create that solution for the industry. By combining guest behavior intelligence with a strong proficiency of guest experience, eXP Maven can drive short-term operational decisions, as well as long-term strategy. For instance, leveraging the power of heat sensors can indicate where guests may be more or less comfortable when visiting a park, which suggests that the temperature should be adjusted as necessary, or implement something to disperse the crowd. Or, if guests are made aware of where the most comfortable spots are at any given time, it might suggest where capital improvements might need to be made, whether through benches or tables, or even where a concession stand might be most profitable. Nathan also talks about how all data, whether actively collected through surveys or passively through identifying guest behavior, should be shared across all departments for the greatest benefit, and why back of house employees need to experience what it’s like to work front of house, as well as the importance of visiting your attraction as a guest themselves.
