Description

In a recent episode of Secured, host Mike Matranga expressed frustration over the priorities of American politicians in the wake of yet another tragic school shooting, this time at Appalachee High School in Winder, Georgia. Matranga delivered an unscripted and heartfelt message to his listeners, questioning why the protection of American children in schools is not being prioritized over the billions of dollars spent on foreign wars and illegal immigration.

Matranga pointed to several examples of how America’s political focus is skewed. The first being the Ukraine war, where the U.S. has sent over $117 billion to aid Ukraine against Russia. While he acknowledged the importance of foreign policy, Matranga questioned why billions are available for overseas conflicts, yet funding for protecting American children in schools remains an issue.

The second example he brought up was the ongoing war in Israel. Again, he did not deny Israel’s right to defend itself but emphasized that U.S. politicians appear to prioritize foreign interests over the safety of American children.

Thirdly, he addressed the ongoing issue of illegal immigration. Millions of dollars are being spent on housing, feeding, and clothing illegal immigrants, while American schools remain vulnerable to violent acts. Matranga asked, why can’t we protect our own kids, the future of America, from such threats?

He highlighted the stark reality that these decisions are being made by politicians whose own children often attend elite public or private schools. Middle-class families, who pay the majority of taxes funding foreign wars and immigration efforts, are left to deal with the tragic consequences of underfunded school safety measures.

Matranga didn’t hold back on his critique of both political parties. He called on all Americans—regardless of race, gender, or political affiliation—to stand up and hold politicians accountable. He urged parents to demand that their local school boards place security in the hands of professionals, not administrators with little to no expertise in security. If local officials won’t listen, he encouraged taking the fight to state representatives and even Congress.

His message was clear: the U.S. has the money to protect its children, but it’s a matter of misplaced priorities. Until the American people demand change and accountability, the lives of children will continue to be at risk while funds are funneled overseas or toward illegal immigration.

Matranga closed the episode with a call for action, urging listeners to make their voices heard at every level of government and to refuse to accept "lip service" from politicians any longer.
