The heart of Straight Outta Crumpton is talking about relationships. They are what binds people in life and business. Host Greg Crumpton invited his Service Logic colleague, Abbie Hebert, to the show because she gets relationships. She’s currently an Account Executive with the company.
Hebert started her working days in the service industry. “That’s where I get most of my customer service skills.” After college, she worked as a project manager for a construction company but wanted to be more customer-facing, and that desire led her to her current role.
Hebert, a self-described people person, endeavors to build strong relationships with her accounts. “I try to be transparent and relatable, so they feel comfortable. It can develop into more than just straight business to a friendship. I want them to know they can count on me,’ she said.
Hebert noted that finding that comfort is different for every client. It requires a level of trust and confidence because emergencies will arise, and things can go wrong, but she wants her clients to rely on her.
Crumpton and Hebert also discussed how the pandemic impacted relationships. “I reached out to more people because I’ve been home. It’s helped many relationships. I have learned that my expectations of others can be too high sometimes.”
Relationships are a two-way street, built on respect and honesty, and that’s how Hebert approaches them.
