The COVID-19 pandemic has had Europe in its grip for more than 3 years, fundamentally changing EU citizens’ lives. But not only had the pandemic limited citizens’ freedom but also reinforced inequalities in our society and between EU member states. And the consequences are still visible today.
New data from a study conducted by the Institut d’Études Européennes (IEE) provide fresh insight into access and quality of higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic, making our two co-hosts, Daniele Bogani, and Arianna Flore, together with our two guests, Katherine Jeffery and Helin Borat, reflect on their own time at university during the pandemic.
But also: What did the EU do to tackle inequalities in our societies and between EU member states during COVID-19? And was that enough?

"Talking with EU, the student’s POV" is the first student-run podcast at the Institut d’Études Européennes (IEE) of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), where the students' point of view is at the centre. This show looks to extend the conversation of the topics discussed in the other IEE podcast “Making sense of EU”. But this time, it is made for the students and by the students.
This podcast is co-funded by the European Union's Erasmus + program, and the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, EUqualis.
