Simone Faure says cookies changed her life. She began her journey in the pastry world in her hometown of New Orleans and it’s a journey that landed her in the Botanical Heights neighborhood, opening her bakery La Patisserie Chouquette. In fact, it was a talk from Oprah that gave her the push to open the doors in 2013 and since then, her shop has brought people from all across the region to try her famous macarons.
Simone has cooked for celebrities and created wedding cakes for many across St. Louis but it’s one woman who walked in the first day the bakery opened that she’ll never forget.
