Rivals Hosts Scott Mitchell and Jason Buck talk about the times they've been the most afraid.
Jason admits to being afraid only a few times in his life. When he was 9, he and his dad used to climb up a train trestle, wait for a train to get close, then jump off into the water.
But there was only one time he was really afraid playing football. Back in high school, he was a new player and his coach tried to put him in as quarterback. He got scared and wouldn't do it. His coach questioned whether he really wanted to play. That was a turning point for Jason.
Scott was very different. As quarterback, he had to overcome a lot of fear and anxiety pretty much every game. That stayed with him his entire career.
Scott Mitchell played quarterback for University of Utah and Jason Buck was a Defensive Lineman for the BYU Cougars.
After college, Mitchell played in the NFL for the Miami Dolphins, took the Detroit Lions twice to the playoffs, then went to Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals.
Scott is also recently known from his time on NBC's The Biggest Loser.
Jason Buck went to the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the NFL draft. He then moved to Washington Redskins where he earned a Super Bowl ring in their victory over Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl XXVI.
