The XFL starts in 2020, and the league is getting ready for action with coaches and front office arrangements being announced in the next few weeks. Who better to give us a feel for the new XFL than its Commissioner Oliver Luck.
Before talking to Oliver last week in Atlanta, I didn’t think the XFL had much of a chance; the first version went so poorly. The only thing I remember about it was a player named "He Hate Me." And that was about it. But now I have a different opinion.
I go back with Oliver when he was a quarterback at West Virginia. I covered him as a backup QB and respected him when he went to college as an athletic director. On this week's podcast, we talk about how the XFL has lined up eight big cities, including Seattle, and plenty of funding from Vince McMahon. We also discuss the hopes of the Seattle franchise.
