A Chinese restaurant in Canada has gone viral for its honest menu. The owner of Aunt Dai restaurant in Montreal, Feigang Fei, has written comments on the menu that tell customers what he really thinks of everything he serves.
Writer Kim Belair posted on Twitter that Aunt Dai is her favorite Chinese restaurant in Montreal, but what she enjoys most is what the owner writes about the dishes.
Belair included some of Fei's menu comments in her tweet, which has now been shared 11,500 times. In one comment, Fei wrote that Aunt Dai's orange beef is "not THAT good" compared to the restaurant's General Tao chicken. He also wrote that he isn't a big fan of "North American Chinese food."
However, there are some "North American" dishes on the menu Fei does like, such as the wontons with peanut butter sauce and the General Tao chicken.
He also wrote that he hasn't yet tried his restaurant's satay sauce beef. "Looks like I should spend more time eating in my own restaurant," he wrote.
In a comment explaining his fried pork slices, Fei wrote that there are a lot of good Chinese dishes, but it's difficult to serve them all because having too many things on the menu makes it hard to maintain a high quality.
