The untold story of Morbid Opera (Ft. Lauderdale) with Libby Bentley & Carmen Monoxide
Join us, as founder, bassist, and vocalist Libby Bentley and drummer, Carmen "Monoxide" Marrero tell the story of South Florida garage/punk band, Morbid Opera. Morbid Opera began their journey in the early 1980's South Florida punk rock scene. Libby Bentley (bass/vocals) and Lisa Hodapp (vocals) (1961-2010) founded Morbid Opera, and were the two core and consistent band members throughout the band's existence. Morbid Opera has three tracks included on the seminal and regional 1983 Florida hardcore/punk compilation titled, "We Can't Help It If We're From Florida". In 2017, a compilation was released titled "Collection", remastering 16 tracks in the Morbid Opera catalog. [Recorded: 05/12/24]
