In this episode, I interview Preethi Kasireddy. Preethi is the founder of a new social media app called TruStory which is changing the way we engage in conversation online. Rather than rewarding users with likes, TruStory offers different incentives that reward users for the quality of their arguments and their openness to the opposing perspective. Preethi and I discuss what it’s like posting on social media with tens of thousands of followers, flat earthers, critical thinking, the art of conversation, and how the internet offers us an “illusion of the infinite” when really it’s just repetition of pre-existing information.
