The world we’re living in has taught us all that part of our value is based on what our body looks like.
This unfortunate and untrue teaching has caused more people to suffer from a wide array of disordered eating. Eating disorders aren’t as simple as looking unhealthily thin; they can consume people of all body types and genders. Recognizing that eating disorders go beyond food and are a component of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues is a key step in understanding them.
In today’s episode, I am joined by Kate Huffman, an award-winning actor, writer, and certified body image coach. Kate helps people to reclaim the time, energy, and money wasted on the endless war with their bodies so they can live freely and confidently. Her life changed when she told her story of 20 years of secret eating disorders, OCD, and chronic body pain in her award-winning show, I Am Too Fat For This Show.
Tune in to Episode 62 of Rejuvenaging to better understand eating disorders from someone who is currently in recovery and how you can spread body positivity.
