Description

When I think of identity, I think of David, the friend of God and the great psalmist of Israel, one of my favorite examples in the Bible. David was rejected or considered unimportant by his family. When God sent the prophet Samuel to the household of Jesse to anoint one of his sons as the next king over Israel, David’s father did not even bring him forward to be considered. Yet he was chosen of God. Samuel reprimanded David’s family, saying God looks at the heart and not the outward appearance.
