Welcome to today’s show! My special guest today is someone who loves to serve and loves to help people! Connie Karpinsky is an incredibly kind soul, who is always looking for ways to serve people, especially those who need and deserve some assistance.

Connie was born into an army family, and later married a young army officer. That resulted in an exciting life of moving, a lot! We will talk about what that was like, some of her favorite places she’s lived and what the army taught her about life and giving of herself. She gives us some great insight in what it’s like being an officer’s wife as he rose through the ranks all the way to full colonel!
We’ll talk about how she and her husband Michael were lured to the lake a few years into retirement. Then she’ll tell us about an exciting event that she is part of, coming up on Saturday, September 30. You may have heard of Upscale Resale. If you have, you will be excited to know it’s time, if you haven’t heard of it, you don’t want to miss it! They collect donations all year of jewelry, handbags, scarves and accessories and then have a gigantic sale! We are talking over 2000 pieces of jewelry at bargain prices. Connie will give us details, but you want to mark September 30 on your calendar!
The money collected goes to the food pantries in Greene and Putnam Counties, which is so important for so many families who are struggling to know where their next meal is coming from.
