You've heard of vision statements and have probably created a few dozen for yourself, your team, and your organization.
It's often a lengthy process trying to figure out something that doesn't exist, but that you want to make happen.
I'm exploring this topic a bit more in life and work right now. Why do some visions become a reality? What is stopping others of us from transferring the vision into real life? What is the missing step?
There are a few steps to think about as you create the vision of what you want next. It requires stepping outside of the comfort of planning around existing resources at your disposal. Allowing yourself to let go of whatever personal thinking constraints keep you nailed down to existing realities.
It may require you to learn what "dreaming" means again.
I'm experimenting with all the approaches of vision creation and share some initial thoughts in this episode.
